FARGO — When The Nail Co opens its doors Oct. 9, the posh new salon will be able to give customers a glow-up from head to toe.

Literally.

The new business at 2911 45th St. S., Fargo, will offer services ranging from a headspa (which includes cleansing, massaging and nourishing the scalp) to a whole menu of pedicures.

Then there’s everything in between, from basic, dip, gel and acrylic manicures to permanent jewelry and beer and wine service.

To top it all off, the 3,700-square-foot salon will be one of the largest nail spas in the area, featuring 23 pedicure chairs, 16 nail stations and four headspa beds, said manager Vena Pham.

Pham, along with co-owners/sisters-in-law Amy Pham and Lan Pham are long-time nail artists whose family opened the Nails Pro salon at West Acres Shopping Center in Fargo.

“But that’s more fast-paced, “ she said. “This one is more spa-like, more relaxation and you can have your drinks while getting a service. It’s very different from all of the nail salons in town here.”

The Nail Co owners worked with an interior designer to create a cream and gold sanctuary with high, recessed ceilings, dramatically fluted pillars and black accents.

Elegant arch shapes are echoed throughout the space, from oversized doorways and windows to shelving.

“We really wanted to focus on our customers, so we focused on a beautiful salon,” she said. “We’re all entrepreneurs who have always loved the idea of opening a nail salon like this.”

Pedi-lovers will be able to pamper their hard-working feet with luxuries like the $65 “Pearl Pedicure,” which combines exfoliation, foot mask and hot stone massage with pearl-infused products that brighten and soften the skin.

If their tootsies really took a beating this summer, there’s a $75 heel therapy treatment which incorporates exfoliation, heel scrub, paraffin wax, massage and chamomile or green tea-enriched moisturizing products.

The Cadillac treatment is the $90 “Float Pedicure,” which incorporates calf and foot exfoliation, moisturizing mask, hot stone massage, steam treatment, therapeutic neck wrap and paraffin wax.

“We call it the float pedicure because it’s floating as in heavenly,” Pham said. “There’s so much relaxation in that pedicure.”

Nail services start at $35 for a basic manicure and run in the $60 to $70 range for more involved services like builder gel extensions or ombre nails.

As it’s become more common for parents to "get away from it all" with little ones in tow, the Nail Co will offer a special spa menu for children, such as nail polish for hands ($20), nail polish for toes ($25) and pedicures for $35.

Relaxation and pampering won't stop at the fingertips.

Head-spa treatments will range from $79 to $159 depending on how many add-ons are requested. The customer’s scalp is cleansed and exfoliated to remove buildup, then massaged with special oils to enhance circulation, relaxation and hair growth, Pham said. Clients can also receive a basic facial with cleansing, mask and moisturizer.

Additional services are on the horizon, including a permanent jewelry bar where guests can opt to solder on meaningful pieces like bracelets, necklaces, earrings and anklets. However, Pham said this service won’t be offered until at least November.

The Phams still need to hire some additional cosmetologists and staff, she said.

“We’re just starting little by little. We don’t want to be overwhelmed with so many services right away,” she said.

The Nail Co will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and will be closed Sundays.
